Ingredients:
1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1/2 cup natural almond butter (or peanut butter)
1/3 cup Â
1/3 cup maple syrup (or agave)
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup dark chocolate chipsÂ
1 Tbsp mini M&Ms for topping
Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease an 8x8-inch baking pan with avocado oil.
Blend Ingredients:Â In a food processor or blender, combine the chickpeas, almond butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, baking powder and soda, and salt. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth.
Fold in Chocolate Chips:Â If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour Batter:Â Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly with a spatula.
Sprinkle:Â mini M&Ms on topÂ
Bake:Â Bake for 25 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
Cool and Slice:Â Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for 20 min and then put in the fridge for 30 min to cool completely before slicing into squares.Â
